Sadly some of the ice axes Grivel made them will fail to fit this shovel and one of the models is Mont Blanc! Why? Because too much engineering, the axe has got a rubberised handle right on the bottom of the shaft that will simply not allow the shaft to enter the handle of the shovel. Solution: push the rubber right to the middle of the shaft with a lot of effort and then the axe shaft will eventually be able to enter the shovel. What a bloody misery… Apart from that, good stuff and sad that the item is not made anymore… Big thank you to the guys from SnowINN for finding this amazing piece of history for me… Highly recommended!
