Soft, fine, warm and comfortable. Great as city socks on cold days. Ok as a ski under-sock, with little volume it gives a considerable help against the cold, but if the boot is precise they could actually be annoying.

Used as undersocks in cold weather but toes still freeze. I would call it minor improvement. Used as single socks with ski boots and they were very good.
