Hello, I am an intermediate to advanced skier and I was wondering about these skis, how do they work out? I also have a question about my size, I am 180cm tall and weigh about 80kg, what would be my ski measurement for this model?

I have the same characteristics as you and I´m happy with it. The support at the limit in the most extreme lean angles would be better with wider tips, but it pays off with truly exaggerated handling and turnaround speed. I got the 169.

Why is this ski for Women only as specified in the description? I thought that the Atomic X7 was a unisex model, just want to be sure that I don't buy a ski that is too flexible/soft?

Hello. I bought these skis for my wife. She is a good skier and she really likes her Atomic Redster X7. I have just checked on the atomic website (atomic.com) and the Redster X7 is listed as a Unisex ski. Finally we have had ski trips to Obergurgl and The Dolomites recently and saw Redster X7 hire skis being used by men and women. They are great skis. At £430/€500 you can’t go wrong with these skis.

I don’t believe it is a female ski, offered sizes go up to 176cm. I bought it as a 95 kg man 5”8 and it skied very nicely. I previously had a hire version of this ski (slightly heavier build and a bit wider waist) and loved it. I contacted Atomic on my return and they advised me that a Redster X7 was the nearest equivalent. Buy it and enjoy it. I am good intermediate and it suited me well for a responsive piste ski.

This is a great ski with good features. Not top of the line, but a very good piste ski for the intermediate or expert. Not too bendy (I weigh 95 kilos) and not too short in turns. As long as you are not a beginner and a modicum of ability (I ski blues and reds and find bumpy stuff hard) it is rewarding. I rented a set last year when my Nordica Eliminators were stolen - and was blown away how good they were - especially for £400 with bindings.
