The new Atomic Backland UL 85 is 10% ligher than its predecessor and features HRZN tech – our widest Backland UL ski and strongest downhill performer.

Atomic Backland 85 UL features the World-Cup proven construction of our ski-running UL 65 – in an 85 mid-waist ski that’s ideal for lightweight alpine touring. It’s our widest UL so it’s nice and floaty. The All Mountain rocker and HRZN Tech in the tip then makes skiing through chop and crud so much easier. And it’s still really light for climbing with an Ultra Light Woodcore and carbon inserts. The cut-out notch in the tips also makes fixing our prefit skins quick and easy.

SKIN 85:
- These are high quality prefit skins for each ski in our Atomic Backland series, so there’s no additional trimming required. They’re made from a 70% Mohair mix for a really strong grip as you climb, and they’re very durable and long lasting.

- Hrzn Tech adds 10 % more surface area at your ski tips. for awesome floatation in powder plus less tip deflection and better tracking through chop.

All mountain rocker :
- For all snow conditions and any terrain both on and offpiste an early rise either just in the tip or in both tip and tail makes this rocker super versatile.

Ultra light woodcore:
- Incredibly lightweight poplar and caruba wood keeps backland´s weight down but without compromising downhill performance.

Cap sidewall:
- Full sidewall under the binding, from base to top sheet for controlled power transmission and great edge grip.

Carbon powered:
- Two ultra lightweight carbon inserts create stability and transfer power to the snow for unmatched performance downhill.
