Product description Lowa Dublin III Goretex QC hiking boots

Anyone who’s familiar with the cold, wet weather in Ireland will know how important a genuine all-weather city shoe is. With the DUBLIN III GTX, you can cope with any type of weather. To ensure that the stylish look in fashionable suede doesn’t come at the expense of warmth, LOWA has given the shoe a waterproof GORE-TEX Panda lining that doesn’t wear out and keeps your feet absolutely dry and warm.

Outsoles with the best features lowa tpu outsole:
- The DUBLIN III GTX is equipped with a LOWA TPU OUTSOLE. The LOWA outsole made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) delivers extremely high quality.
- The LOWA® SNEAKER WINTER sole is a classic looking sneaker sole with crosswise studs. The winter sole is designed for everyday use and leisure time in urban settings.

Optimally cradles the foot fit frame:
- In this construction style, the sole of the DUBLIN III GTX is designed as a type of shell that forms a cosy home for the foot. This also creates a comfortable fit.

The bond between the sole and upper:

- The DUBLIN III GTX is footwear onto which the outsole has been directly injected. This manufacturing technique creates an exceptionally precise and very strong bond between the sole and upper.

Lightweight:
- This process uses a plastic called polyurethane. It is a very lightweight foam padding.

Cushioning:
- The plastic called polyurethane is a foam padding that has very good cushioning properties. The plastic retains its form and springs back to its original condition even when its millions of tiny bubbles are frequently pressed together. This, in turn, creates a good rebound effect.

A wide range of design options:
- Thanks to direct injection, the sole can be designed in a very large number of ways. The multifaceted properties of the materials used enable the shoes to be effective in a broad number of areas.

Guaranteed weather protection:

- Guaranteed weather protection, even in pouring rain and heavy snow: The DUBLIN III GTX is equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane. The innovative technology delivers optimal waterproof protection and breathability.

Permanently waterproof:
- The membrane provides reliable waterproof protection. No matter what sort of adventure you may be planning, you can count on GORE-TEX technology to keep your feet pleasantly dry.

High breathability:
- Designed with optimal breathability in mind, GORE-TEX shoes provide pleasant comfort even during intense activities. Water cannot penetrate the footwear, and moisture produced inside the shoe escapes through billions of pores in the GORE-TEX membrane.

Windproof:
- The GORE-TEX membrane dependably fights off the wind and the weather. As a result, you can head off on a tour no matter what the weather is like.

Noticeable cushioning puts a spring in your step:

- The midsole is the leading contributor to the footwear’s rolling properties and cushioning. In the DUBLIN III GTX, this midsole is made of a specially developed plastic: LOWA DynaPU®. The special feature: It retains its restoring force even when it’s pressed together thousands of times. As a result, the finished boots will maintain their exceptional cushioning properties even after you have walked many kilometres in them.

Good comfort:
- The special material development is characterised by good cushioning properties. As a result, walking comfort and rolling properties have been noticeably increased – even during long hikes.

Good rebound effect:
- The plastic called polyurethane is a foam padding that has very good cushioning properties. The plastic retains its form and springs back to its original condition even when its millions of tiny bubbles are frequently pressed together. This, in turn, creates a good rebound effect.

Lightweight:
- The plastic called polyurethane is a very lightweight foam padding. The result is a sole that offers the best form of comfort.

Features:

Sole:
- The LOWA TPU outsole unites the positive qualities of polymers (plastics) and rubber to produce good grip.

Midsole:
100% Polyurethane (PU):
- Polyurethane (PU) is a soft plastic that has very good cushioning properties and is usually used in the midsole as a result. Through the use of PU, the soles become lightweight and functionally flexible.

Approx. 35% Non-woven fabric:
- Non-woven fabric is a collection of fibre of limited length, filaments or cut yarns. Used as a component/covering of feet beds, the layer of non-woven fabric absorbs the heat generated by the foot, creating a pleasant feeling of comfort even in cold weather.

Approx. 5% Aluminium foil:
- Aluminium foil is the name used to describe a thin foil that is produced in a rolling process using the raw material of aluminium. Air-tight aluminium foil is primarily used in insoles as a layer of insulation that fights off cold from below and retains heat in the shoe.

Approx. 50% Polyethylene:
- Polyethylene is a semi-crystalline and non-polar thermoplastic resin that is, by far, the most widely used plastic in the world. Polyethylene is used in part as a component of man-made fibre/blended fabrics. It is used primarily to create comfort and insulate the foot from below.

Approx. 10% Perforated polyethylene:
- The structure of our perforated polyethylene promotes increased air circulation.

Upper material:

100% Suede leather:
- Suede leather comes from the flesh side of the hide. It has a looser fibre structure, a quality that creates a velvety surface and a light pile. Suede leather is particularly durable and open-pored. Depending on the desired look, suede leather can remain untreated or be oiled or waxed.

Footwear stiffness flexible:
- The footwear is flexible and supports natural rolling properties as a result.

Specifications:

- Weight: 790 g/Pair (UK 8)

100% GORE-TEX:
- Footwear equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane is reliably waterproof, windproof and breathable.
