This hat turned out to be quite versatile. This is a good sun hat AND an amazing rain hat. The brim of the hat is 3 inches wide on front and sides, 4 inches wide in the back for extra drip protection (rain won´t run down the back of your neck). This is the measurements from a size medium. It´s got a felt or fleece material on the inside of the hat for warmth and comfort, no itch on your forehead. There is also a chin strap you can adjust in a gale force wind to keep your hat on your head! The green / blue color is quite eye catching. Wife will be wearing this more than just out in the rain.
