The Non Marking Winter Contagrip sole comes to provide an undisputable grip on wet surfaces, with snow or ice. The molded EVA midsole provides stability and cushioning you need for slippery terrains.
This boot for the snow has been made with ClimaSalomon Waterproof membrane, exclusive of the French house, which gives the best protection against the rain and snow, breathability, and warmth. In addition, the Aerotherm membrane offers thermal insulation capable to support up to -40°C.
On the inside, the die-cut Eva insole provides a feeling of comfort and support on the heel, which in turn is protected by a rubber layer, and with the leather upper, you have all the protection required to face the lowest temperatures of the mountains.

Very robust boots and much lighter and more comfortable than they appear at first glance. Also very warm. Tested on the Svalbard Islands, in the heart of the Arctic. Highly recommended. It is advisable to choose a size larger than usual.

I work in a muddy sawmill and i go trough a range of waterproof boots. I had a similar pair of gtx salomons. If you order your actual size they all come a bit tight at first but you do stretch the insulating layer and they fit better. Going size up is ok if you prefer wearing 2 pairs of warm socks even though i dont think its necesarry in these since they are so warm. In fact so warm your feet sweat and get cold :D they are rather wide around the toes which makes them fold inwards when you take a step. This is not uncomfortable but rather damaging to the boot. My old pair split down a seam. I will wear these this winter and see how far we get. A big plus is mildly protective toecap and a great vomfortable sole suitable for being on your feet all day.
