Lacing system to review

Here is my feeling after a week of testing these boots. Good build quality. The boots are very rigid and rather large in size for a 26.5 (compared to the Salomon Hi-Fi of the same size, it’s probably a 27 or 27.5). The ZoneLock lacing system is really not practical and it forces to tighten fully to have a good hold which makes the flex very rigid. It’s really the opposite of what Solomon said. We can hardly play on flex. In addition, it tends to loosen quickly which requires tightening several times a day. The liner is of good quality but the lacing system, again, does not tighten the heel which is not pressed at the bottom in the boot, which leads to a lack of support on the front side. The sole is well suited to freeride and does not slip on hard snow. This remains a good freeride boot for the price, but the choice of lacing compared to other models prevents giving the maximum score.
