This is an ‘unpacking’ review and not a product review, as I bought them post-ski season this year, which is a great time to pick up the latest ski gear with huge discounts. And Snowinn was easily the most competitive. Snowinn also has sensible transportation costs and excellent packaging. I already had an account with Snowinn, which always seems to have the product I am looking for, the best price, and they deliver quickly. The bindings of this ski package were perfectly set up according to my boot size and weight, although this is simple enough to change. I’m a 60 year old Norwegian who is an advanced skier, looking for a pair of quality skis - for the first time in 40 years, as I normally rent skis - that I can go off-piste with yet without compromising on the skis’ on-piste carving potency. The Rossignol Exp 80 claim to do exactly that. If true - I’ll have to wait until next winter to find out - they are the ideal skis for me. They are light and good looking and the grey colour make them understated, while the orange colours of the bindings nicely pick up the orange colours on my Salomon S-max boots. This package just seems the perfect combo for a ‘mature’ skier who knows how to get down a mountain on skis in style.
