Designed for approaches and glacier skiing, the IRVIS HYBRID crampons have a steel front piece and aluminum heel piece, offering an excellent balance between performance, technicality and weight, and traction on ice. The CORD-TEC flexible linking system minimizes bulk for ease of carrying. The LEVERLOCK UNIVERSEL binding fits the front part of any boot. Crampons come with ANTISNOW and carry bag.

I thought that the little bag that comes with the crampons would take up a little less space inside. In any case, they weigh very little and fit perfectly with my ski boots. They didn't jump on me at any time.

As usual, you should never be in a rush when ordering from SnowInn. There always seems to be some delay. The product itself is great. Went on a winter tour of Triglav in Slovenia that involves plenty of snow and even some moderate ice climbing. These crampons were up to the task and really don't weigh you down. As advertised, the dynema chord does need to be readjusted after wearing them for a while (a few hours) since the tension loosens a bit as the chord settles into place. Other than that, great crampons. Recommend.

Looks good. Compact to store and very light. Incl. Storage bag. Not used yet. Trust in the rear part (aluminum) on snow and ice. Curious how it fares on mixed terrain. just received, so not tested in practice yet. Purchased for summer and winter use for glacier tours. Not for climbing.

Lightweight, compact and practical. Great that you can change the type of front attachment. Perfect to always keep in your backpack for ski touring or winter hiking. Good compromise between aluminum heel and steel toe. Used for icy sections or medium-easy channels. For goulotte or technical mountaineering, a classic product with metal connection is better.

Very light.period. But had bad experiences , once on KY2 in Ladakh and the other at Island peak Nepal. The crampons move to the side of the shoe and come off easily when you are jumar on steep sections. It happenned both on my la sportiva Nepal cube and trango cube. Expert guides tried in vain. Had to change my crampons.

I tested the combination during a couple of outings and I can say that I believe that the Petzl Irvis Hybrid Leverlock crampon does not guarantee sufficient lateral grip on the La Sportiva Equilibrium shoe. This problem is accentuated when it comes to proceeding on a slope by walking sideways. At this point the crampon not only comes loose, but is easily released.
