Product description Movement Shine Z Line+10.0 Glide Alpine Skis
The Z-SHINE is the benchmark ski in the girls’ range and is aimed at the sporty female skier. The soul of this ski is based around a wood core and glass/carbon fibre construction, which delivers an outstandingly high performance on all snow types. The Z-SHINE pivots easily and dives into the turn as soon as the edge is put down.
Lively, reactive fluid & very stable at speed. Edge grip is exceptional and acceleration is like a racing car. For a piste ski, the Z-SHINE is incredibly light – this one is aimed squarely at the best female skiers out there who don’t want to compromise on performance.

Technology:
- Top Sheets:
The top sheet of a ski has a pretty hard time; it needs to be resistant to repetitive shocks, impacts, huge temperature changes and UV rays. Our top sheets all confirm to the industry standard which guarantees the best quality out there.
The thickness of the top sheet is very much decided by the type of ski, and we take this decision very seriously. The upper layer of the top-sheet is a highly-resistant polyamide, which is made up of two thermally-bonded layers of the following thickness: 0.15mm / 0.25mm / 0.40mm and 0.50mm on the widest of our skis.
This year the X-Series range will also benefit from a new technology with a dual-layer top sheet.
- Dynamic Tri dir
- Dynamic Uni dir
- Prepeg Fig
- Wood Core:
Skis are not inanimate objects to us, nor should their heart be. The core of the ski is key to everything; not only does it give the ski its life, but it also controls its longevity and defines the characteristics in each type of ski (piste-freeride-freestyle-touring).
We are continuing to only buy FCS or PEFC-certified cores PEFC and work with 7 different cores across the ranges. Our current cores are: Beech / Ocoumé / Poplar / Poplar light ECL / Karuba / Ultra light karuba-poplar mix each core is weighed according to the criteria selected in relation to the ski to be produced–X version series / Polownia.
- Rubber
- Edges:
We use 4 different types of edge in our skis depending on the type of ski and its category. We reviewed our edges this season and generally widened them across the board. The thinnest of our edge types is now only available on the high-performance touring skis ,whilst the rest of the touring and FREETOURING skis have wider versions.
The Alpine, Freestyle & Freeride sectors have 2 types of wider edges with high resistance qualities and a slightly higher weight. The edges are all anti-corrosion treated and inspected by hand before they leave our factory.
- Base Preparation:
The preparation and finishing of the base of the ski is one of the most delicate and tricky parts of the manufacturing process. The process must be followed religiously in order to end up with a base that is capable of dealing with the rigours of modern-day use. For this reason, there’s no compromise when it comes to the equipment we use and the time it takes to finish our bases.
Our factory is equipped with the latest generation of Wintersteiger and Montana machines in order to guarantee an unbeatable finish. Our team then checks every ski manually and ensures that the final waxing makes them ready to hit the snow, when they leave our factory.
- Base Diecut Labels:
The design detail of our bases (logos & apples) are die-cut to fit perfectly with the rest of the base of the ski. Minute differences in base thickness are worked on by our team to ensure perfectly-smooth base finishes.
- Base Quality:
The base of a ski is the motor that drives it, just like a car. For this reason, we only use top-of-the-range synthetic bases with very high molecular density. This type of base is highly resistant to abrasion and impacts whilst remaining serviceable.
We work with the best type of bases on the market: P-TEX 2000 / 4000 and 5000 depending on the type of ski and temperature of the snow. These bases are factory-prepared with a lightly structured finish and hot wax to make them ready to use straight off the shelf. The finishing itself is done with the latest MONTANA and WINTERSTEIGER machines.
- ABS:
The majority of our skis are equipped with ABS sections (a synthetic material with fibreglass particles), which act as shock-absorbers when skiing on hard snow or ice.
