Heart Rate — the Easy, Accurate Way
This premium heart rate strap transmits real-time heart rate data over ANT+® connectivity and BLUETOOTH® Low Energy technology, giving you more training options. Consistently receive accurate heart rate on your Garmin device, in online training apps such as Zwift or even the compatible fitness equipment at the gym.
Track Running Dynamics
In addition to heart rate, HRM-Pro captures running dynamics that can help you improve your form. That includes metrics such as vertical oscillation, ground contact time, stride length, vertical ratio and more.
Store and Forward Your Data
The device stores heart rate data during swimming or other activities while your watch is out of range, then sends that data to your watch once the activity is finished. It will also store steps, calories and intensity minutes, then sync them to your watch as well.
Comfort and Convenience
HRM-Pro features a small, lightweight heart rate monitoring module that is no wider than the width of the soft, comfortable strap. And don’t worry about running out of juice. The user-replaceable coin cell battery lasts for up to one year.

My experience with Garmin´s chest strap is that it eventually becomes very worn and "twists" where you can adjust the size of the strap. As the sensor on the Garmin hrm pro is permanently attached to the strap, does this mean that if the strap is damaged or very worn, you actually have to buy a completely new heart rate monitor, while on the other models you can only change the strap?

Hi, I have been using HRM Run successfully for about 5 years. Because my sports activities are different, I bought HRM PRO 3 years ago. I personally do only two service operations on the Garmin HRM. #1 adjustment according to chest circumference. #2 battery replacement. The solution to both your chafing and twisting problem: you probably have your HRM set too tight. Relax Garmin HRM chest strap to allow you to fully inhale and lift your arms. If your chest circumference is over 100cm, use a strap extender. I wish you many happy hours of sports with Garmin HRM.

This product includes the sensor which is permanently attached to the band. The sensor can be opened to replace the battery but this needs to be done very carefully not to brake the seal which makes the sensor waterproof.

I guess so, at least for the heart monitoring function. I´m not sure about counting steps... because my Garmin edge 520 plus cycle computer didn´t count steps and I wrote to Garmin... they confirmed that my device didn´t count anything other than cardiac functions.

Dear, My Garmin HR sensor is coupled with Garmin Edge 1030 plus and Garmin D2 Bravo. But 100% sure it will also work with the Fenix range. Is a great product. Measures much more than just heart rate.
