Atomic Savor JRml 16/17 Ski Goggles

Our new Atomic Savor JR ML goggles come in a junior fit but the same oversized look as the adult models. This model has cylindrical double lenses with a special multilayer treatment that protects kids against glare and eye fatigue. You can wear these goggles over glasses, and they also feature colored dual layer foam around the frame for a great fit, plus a silicone-coated strap to grip to a helmet. And like all our goggles they’re designed and developed in-house at Atomic.

Technology:

Lens Technology: All our goggles feature high-clarity lenses available in loads of different shapes, finishes and colors.
LENS SHAPES:
- CYLINDRICAL LENSES: Savor’s lenses curve horizontally while remaining flat vertically. They’re high quality polycarbonate double lenses with awesome clarity and a cool mirrored finish. Cylindrical lenses offer great performance at a slightly lower price.

SPHERICAL-LENSES: The spherical lenses on Revel and Revent Q curve horizontally and vertically around your face, giving the goggles a cool bubbled look. They also offer brilliant clarity and field of vision.

UV PROTECTION: UV rays are the most dangerous of the sun’s rays. Even on cloudy days you can be exposed to a lot of UV rays up the mountain, and it can cause all sorts of damage to your eyes. As a result all our lenses have UV filters to filter out 100% of UV rays – whether the lenses are tinted, dark or mirrored.

LENS TINTS AND COLORS: Color has no impact on the quality of a lens. However, the lens color does protect eyes from glare and can maximize visibility in flat light. How much depends on the percentage of visible light allowed through the lens (the Visible Light Transmission, or VLT). This is rated in categories from 0 to 4. All our lenses fall between 1 and 3:

LENS CATEGORIES:
- Cat 0: These lenses are a pale color or appear as a very light tint. They allow 81% to 100% of visible light through the lens.
- Cat 1: These are slightly tinted and allow 43% to 80% of visible light through the lens. Recommended for low light in winter or overcast days.
- Cat 2: These allow 18% to 42% of visible light through the lens. Effective protection in average sunlight conditions.
- Cat 3: These are perfect for most conditions and will provide excellent protection from the sun. They allow 8% to 17% of visible light through the lens.
Cat 4: The most powerful category, allowing only about 3% of visible light through the lens. They are only necessary in extremely bright conditions, like when hiking on glaciers or in high mountains.

LENS TECH: All our lenses feature class 1 optics. It means they offer 100% UVA/B protection. They’re anti-scratch and anti-fog. They comply with standards EN1836, ANSI Z80.AS/NZS 1067 for high-impact resistance. And they also come in a range of finishes:

PHOTOCHROMIC: Our exclusive photochromic lenses respond to changing light conditions by adjusting the level of tint. When it’s dark they get lighter. When the sun comes out they get darker to protect you from glare. So you’ve always got the perfect lens tint for any condition – without having to change a thing.

MULTILAYER (ML): A multilayered mirror finish increases protection from glare and reduces eye fatigue. The perfect balance between style and performance. prevents glare and makes skiing in bright light much more comfortable and safe.

QUICK CLICK LENS: Quick Click Lens is a mechanical system allowing you to change lenses in seconds, featured on our new Revent Q goggles: when conditions change you click out one lens, click in a new one and you’re done. This new system comes with category 1 and 3 lenses as standard.

EASY LENS SWITCH: Switch your lenses in seconds when conditions change thanks to the instant release keys on the frame.

WIDE FIELD OF VISION: Our frame shapes give you brilliant vision top to bottom as well as side to side. So the frames are hardly noticeable while skiing.

Face Fit:

Helmet Compatibility:
- SILICONE-COATED STRAPS: Silicone coating on the inside of the straps means they don’t slide around or ride up.

ARTICULATED OUTRIGGERS: We’ve designed the frame shape of our goggles so they fit our helmets perfectly without any gaps. Our top goggles also feature articulated outriggers. These flexible hinges on the side make sure the strap sits nicely around the helmet, and that pressure is evenly distributed across the face to provide a complete seal.

Over the Glasses: OTG stands for ‘over the glasses’ and it does exactly that – provide all the comfort and visual clarity of Atomic goggles for people who prefer to ski in glasses rather than contacts. OTG goggles fit over glasses thanks to extra grooves in the (slightly larger) frame. These grooves accommodate the temple arms of your glasses.
