Compared to the Speed Turn 2.0 the Speed Radical has a couple nice features that I think make it a bit more user friendly, The toe piece features stops that help position the boot toe so that it more easily engages with the pins; also the climbing risers are much easier to switch, just a flick of the pole and the desired height is changed. Those features, and a low release value of 4 are the reason I chose the Speed Radical bindings for my daughter, who is new to alpine touring. The bindings I received included the anti-rotation mechanism which was very simple to install.
Great lightweight touring bindings, delivered as expected.

Great no-frills lightweight binding. If you are willing to give up brakes and the ability to set a toe release value, in favor of lighter weight, these may be to your liking.
Great lightweight touring bindings, delivered as expected.

Great no-frills lightweight binding. If you are willing to give up brakes and the ability to set a toe release value, these are a good light option.

First pair of tech bindings, and initial impression is they´re amazingly light and tough! They arrived in a timely manner and were mounted easily to my Icelantic nomad skis, for an extremely light and touring setup! Thanks Snowinn!
Awesome binding

I bought this for my first skimo race setup since I wasn´t ready to spend the money for slightly lighter bindings. I love these things! I can definitely notice the weight difference compared to my heavier backcountry bindings and I love the feeling of getting to the top without straining my leg muscles too much. I have full confidence in them on the downhill.
Dynafit tlt speed radical binding -- review

Great Binding. By now we have this binding on four pairs of skis in our family. It is light, well-tested over decades and functions well. Easy to use. it is also almost the least expensive ski-mountaineering binding on the market. I like the "pull-in" feature that makes it easier to get into the binding. Advantage of a binding without brakes is that its lighter weight (than with brakes) and no drag on hte up-hill/ Of course you have to be carefull not to lose your ski when taking off the skins (use the leash). No need to buy a more expensive binding. Note you can use it in-bounds in ski areas, it releases but not in all directions. More info from dynafit directly. If you ski carefully enough, it should be ok inbounds. anyhow, I only use it for ski mountaineering, a sport I have done for several decades inclduing skiing McKinley in Alaska and many tours in the Alps.
Already killing it in the backcountry

I got my new Speed Radicals in just a few days ago and I have been skiing every day since I got them. I have been using the Radical STs for over a year now and they are okay. The Speed streamlines the binding making the set up less fiddely during transitions, easier to strap to your pack and lighter. I love it so far, it is a no nonsense binding that only has the required parts to get the job done. I put my Radical STs on my big back country powder (heavy) skis for making powder laps and I put the Speed Radicals on my ski mountaineering/light speed touring set up so I can get some real milage in. I will leave you with one find thought, I was initially scared to leave the breaks behind, now I wish I had made the transition sooner. I have no regrets. Happy Pow lines every one.
