Arc’teryx Atom Mitten Liner

Designed to function as a cold weather liner under a waterproof shell like the Beta Shell Mitten, but featured to work as a standalone, the Atom Mitten Liner is warm and versatile.

Three types of Primaloft insulation are utilized.

Specially designed to function in areas where dexterity, a sure grip and durability are required, 133 g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco with Grip Control is used at the palm and fingers to provide durable warmth.

The insulation is bonded to the inside of the nylon shell to eliminate slipping between the layers and further enhance fit, dexterity and grip.

On the back of the hand, an area less prone to wear but more prone to exposure, two Primaloft fills are employed.

Lofty 133 g PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation is light and warm, and a denser 100 g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco is layered to provide added durability in high cycle flexion areas.

IN and OUT:

The Atom?s N80-p ATY nylon face fabric was selected to provide essential protection and layer comfortably under a shell mitten.

The outer is light, supple, slides easily into a shell, resists wear, and has a DWR treatment for water repellency.

Grip enhancements at the fingers and thumb improve dexterity and durability, and when used with a shell, help secure stability between the layers.

The mitten mimics the curve of the hand, and a high level of articulation is built into the thumb for maximum freedom of movement.

Inside, the Atom is lined with a soft polyester fleece for added warmth, comfort and improved moisture dispersal.

An internal draft tube wraps around the wrist to seal in heat.

An inner nylon cuff has a DWR treatment to help it shed snow or moisture that could otherwise accumulate and lead to heat loss.

Atom:
